What does laser engraving and/or cutting cost?

Prices are based on the following: 1. Cost of materials 2. Time required for design/set up 3. Cost of time/power required to engrave and/or cut items Our design fee is £0.50 per minute ... designs can range from simple to complex so our fee reflects that some artwork will require a lesser amount of time than more intricate designs. The cost for laser processing (engraving and/or cutting) is £0.75 per minute. Please Contact Us if you have an idea in mind and would like an indication of cost.
Can I supply my own materials?

Yes, of course! Please have a look at the materials we can engrave and cut on our Laser Engraving page. We will be able to advise whether or not the item is suitable for engraving and/or cutting (e.g. there might be health & safety issues with items such as pre- painted wood). We can also source engravable items for you from our suppliers (e.g. wooden boxes) to save you time and effort.
Can I supply my own design/artwork?

Yes, we are happy to engrave or cut artwork that you have designed or sourced yourself, provided that: 1. the design can be sent in a vector format compatible with our software (i.e .svg .dxf .jpeg) 2. the design/artwork does not breach copyright rules Please get in touch if you would like to use your own design(s) and we can discuss how to take this forward.
Can you laser engrave photographs?

Yes, we can engrave photos. High resolution photos that have a lot of detail and a good contrast between light and dark give the best results. We can engrave photos on wood, slate and glass ... some images work best on slate and glass, others work better on wood. We offer a trial engraving on different materials to see what will work best. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about photo engraving.
What else can be engraved?

Our laser machine has a bed size of 90cm (w) x 60cm (d) so we can engrave or cut out fairly large items. The bed height can be adjusted so that we can engrave items up to 20cm in height. We have a rotary engraving device which allows us to engrave cylindrical objects such as bottles and glasses. Please get in touch if you have an idea or project you would like to discuss with us.
